How did you and Tony Visconti back together?
Bowie, Tony Visconti, and I wanted to work together for a few years. We had both commitments long enough and we could not see a space where we could get something together. When spring came around last year, things started to subside. I told Mark Plati and disappear my band that I was going for a while "and put the thing together with Tony. They were very understanding, they worked with me long enough to know that we are together again soon.
At that moment everything came together. I went over young jeezy albums and stayed at Tony's place for a while "and we talked and played to" get in his studio at home to get an idea of what I wanted. Ironically, the first song we stored in the form of demos and were thrilled is a song that is never the final list. But it was our starting point.
What was wanted for you from this collaboration?
Bowie did not know where we wanted, but it was a joy when we arrived.
